Do I have a cool story for you!
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God (Mt 5:9)
Yesterday, I was at a Diplomatic Peace Summit.
The speakers consisted of Sikhs, Monks, Hindu Priests, Bishops, the Former President of Ecuador, Heads of various Parishes from The Americas, and one of my friends, Angel Roman, who was representing a fledgling Peace Initiative.
In attendance were thousands of young people, the general public, and honored guests. Thundered applause electrified the room from start to finish as each speaker gave their 3-5 mins speech in native lingo. Angel’s mother shed tears of joy seeing her 20-year-old boy made his entrance on the International Stage. Quite moving.
Then, came the SHOCK wave that pulsated the room and left me breathless!
This is how it happened. Continue reading “Diplomatic Inspiration 2.0”
Often, we think that to get along, especially in relationships, we have to be on the same page. Well, I disagree.
We are all different. We are each unique expressions of the image of God with different hopes, dreams, and ideas. We each have our own experiences and differentiating nuances in world views. Yes, even when we believe the same thing.
Imagining romantic relationships here – what if her level of spirituality is different from yours? What do you do then? Is it a good match or not? Obviously, one of you has much to learn, yes?

You just have to be reading from the same book.
Here’s why – Continue reading “You Don’t Have to Be on the Same Page”
New Year was Mello at my house.
I began celebrating New Year on December 29th.
I ate, drank good stuff, and pretty much binged watch Netflix all the way into the New Year. Sauf for the part where I attended church, played games and won a gift card and a a box of cookies which according to my trainer is not healthy.
Unfortunately….for the cookies…I can’t find them (hmm…hmm)
I guess I won’t be adding “cookies” on Myfitnesspal app log…(this once).
I figured I’d begin with resolutions this year since its what we all tend to do this time of the year. Yesterday, something changed inside of me. My resolutions didn’t seem to just be resolutions. They felt more like declarations. And as I share them with you, I hope you can hold me to it and also share yours with me. It may sound like journal ramblings.
That said –
2018 is going to be an excellent year.
I feel the excitement in my bones. Excitement for the adventures and grace to overcome in difficult times. Like most of you, I have great promises from God. But the one thing that has always stood in my way is – me.
So the theme for me this year is – NO MORE RESERVATIONS. Continue reading “No More Reservations”
Yesterday, I read an article in which the author noted that human beings think up to 1500-words per minute. That’s equivalent to a personal dialogue. From this continuous self dialogue we develop an internal script. This script is a reflection of what we think and believe about ourselves and abilities at every given moment.
