THE BIRTH OF BELIEF

People with perseverance have gone on to achieve what those with genius have not. Repetition is what routinizes faith in action, turning it into a consistent, everyday occurrence. Repetition invokes belief in the heart which is the first and main ingredient for inspiring action. After belief is inspired, faith comes by “hearing” and pursuing the possibility of the words you intend to become.

Every time you speak a word or sentence consistently about yourself, you reconfigure your mind and disciple your heart in the process.

You tell your heart and mind what to listen to and what to consider. The same thing happens when you continuously listen to a particular broadcast. That’s why it is said that, “Be careful what you watch so you don’t have to watch what you say later.”

Belief empowers your will and your strength to take actions that match your belief with regard to the word, statement, or confessions you make.

As it says,

“Be careful how you think for your life is shaped by your thoughts (1)}

and

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God (2)”

Whenever you make a positive confession from a place of belief, you are telling your mind and heart to “Pay attention! This is important.” With time, your belief grows to the size needed to move you past the obstacle standing in your way to where you need to be. With this level of belief and self-confidence, you can comfortably act with peace in your heart. Often, the obstacle is your current mindset, your current way of thinking.

Repetition transforms character by reshaping habits and it takes time. This of course is with God’s life giving word and encouraging words that breed life. Every transformation that brings forth life and light is rooted in an identity. Otherwise, it will not last. It’s important to know who we are connected to Above and below.

The wisdom of repetition is the sole process of convincing yourself to become what you need to be. It is the process of becoming the kind of person you need to be for the task at hand and for the need your vision is meant to meet. Prayer is the key ingredient and it describes the ongoing conversation that builds for you, a history with God. Often, we pray out of a sense of obligation, but we forget the main thing when we pray—

“We forget to believe while we pray.”

We can only start living out our destiny by first getting our minds into the right place. We can only freely give our lives up for a higher purpose only when we first enter into a mindset of belief that what we are doing is worth it and will be rewarded. Though the journey from the head to the heart is the longest and hardest, I know some logistics and simplistic to get there.

As earlier mentioned, prayer is the first and the best logistics to get there. Prayer first and foremost changes you, not God. It helps you line up to what God thinks about you.It helps you line up with who and what you are from heaven’s perspective. It creates space for you to belief even when there is unbelief. It creates space for what if scenarios, room to reconsider, a new fire to stand still, a motivation to belief in God who is not only here and with you, but who also calls you with a mission, from the future.

So, when we persevere and continue to pray, we begin to believe as we continue and persist in prayer. Consistent prayer turns words into a song, a charged conversation into a powerful connection and negotiating tool when it comes to the family bond you have with the Almighty. You move past obligation into a state of being convinced. Because you repeat the process, you train your soul (mind, will, and emotions) to belief.

You won’t be able to complete the task from heaven as a student, entrepreneur, teacher, parent, pastor…without seeing prayer as a consistent date with God. For prayer is your strategic planning meeting with your supervisor – God – who is your partner in life and business. As the old timers used to say of the prayer closet, “Most battles in life will be won on your knees.”

Faith is just the action. What keeps it going is belief, the logistics of which begins with prayer. Prayer is your strategic planning meeting with your supervisor – God, your heavenly father. This strategic meeting changes you; changes how you think, what you think, and why you think it, essentially drawing you closer to why you exist – what you are put on earth to do.

If you don’t feel like praying, pray until you feel like it. If you don’t know how to pray, start talking to the Lord like He is right there. If you don’t belief in God, try it anyway. It will create room to consider Jesus, the embodiment of God, truth, life, love, mercy, and your truest identity (which you need to know to fully and truly live).

Faith is a fruitcake. This once, be a fruitcake, be willing to be foolish enough to try. Its just one action away, that action being speaking words toward heaven. HE hears.

The birth of belief is the wisdom of repetition

It all begins with your thoughts and your words.
